Why do you have Product Specialist Program?
At Housmile, we strive to design our products from a consumer perspective with a commitment to constant improvement. The Product Specialist Program was created so we can more directly engage with users to learn how we can do better. Particularly for our new release products, we offer a limited supply of free test samples in exchange for early feedback. This feedback helps us better gauge market response and get a head start on any areas that might need improvement. We also encourage Product Specialists to share their reviews publicly to help inform prospective buyers about what they can expect from new Housmile products.
Product Specialists are individuals who not only appreciate free products, they are pioneers who enjoy testing, sharing helpful suggestions to our product, marketing, and customer service teams. They also enjoy sharing their experiences with other prospective buyers.
What are the PowUser Program benefits?
Product Specialists can apply for a free Housmile product to review and keep up to 8 times every year (12 months from first product request). Selections will vary to reflect our product focus, but Product Specialists may choose according to their own interest – there is no obligation to receive or review an undesired product.
Product Specialists also receive regular exclusive discounts on Housmile products.
Product Specialists will occasionally have the opportunity to get bonus gifts after helping us complete surveys.
What are the PowUser Program responsibilities?
Product Specialists are expected to test and provide detailed and unbiased feedback on the test sample within one week of receiving the product. If circumstances prevent a Product Specialist from providing timely feedback, they are expected to provide advanced notice. Otherwise, delayed feedback may impact eligibility to apply for future Housmile products.
Product Specialists are expected to help us by completing surveys that help us improve our products and brand image.
If in need of assistance during the testing, Product Specialists are encouraged to contact our customer support team (marketing@ihousmile.com) directly.
Who is eligible to apply?
This program is not open to the public. Applicants are selected based on several criteria, including their history and helpfulness of reviews on Amazon and other sites such as YouTube, tech websites, forums, etc. Some basic requirements for application:
1). Location:
Applicants must reside in one of the following countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Canada, France, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain.
2). Active and helpful history:
A. For applicants in the US and UK, note that our program has grown very quickly. In order to better distribute our limited resources across diverse online communities, starting August 2013 we will more heavily consider applicants with an active review history on non-Amazon sites such as YouTube, tech websites, forums, etc.
B. For non-US applicants, you must have an Amazon online account with a history of high quality reviews or be an established product reviewer or tech blogger.
Housmile maintains full rights to judge and determine an applicant’s acceptance into the Product Specialist Program.
I’m a new Product Specialist. How do I get started?
To get started, please sign in and choose your first product to review.
How to select your first product:
1. Log into your member account.
2. Click the “Product Specialist” link from the right-hand column.
3. Consider the displayed “Products Available for Review.”
4. Click “Apply” for the product you want to review. You will receive a delivery notification from marketing@ihousmile.com in 2 working days. Note that you may only review one product at a time. If the “Apply” button is greyed out, samples are no longer available for review.
How will I be notified of new product selections?
Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to get first-hand updates. If a product has limited compatibility (such a specific cell phone or laptop model battery), we will contact Power Users who have related device by email. So to receive more customized updates, please indicate your preferences, interests, and relevant devices in your application.Product Specialists who miss the chance to review any Housmile products for 3 consecutive months can directly email marketing@ihousmile.com under the title “Product Specialist- Product Waiting List Request” to be placed on the review waiting list.

How to Purchase Gift Certificates?
Gift Certificates are purchased just like any other item in our store. You can pay for them using the stores standard payment method(s). Once purchased the value of the Gift Certificate will be added to your own personal Gift Certificate Account. If you have funds in your Gift Certificate Account, you will notice that the amount now shows in the Shopping Cart box, and also provides a link to a page where you can send the Gift Certificate to some one via email.
Buying with Gift Certificates?
If you have funds in your Gift Certificate Account, you can use those funds to purchase other items in our store. At the checkout stage, an extra box will appear. Enter the amount to apply from the funds in your Gift Certificate Account. Please note, you will still have to select another payment method if there is not enough in your Gift Certificate Account to cover the cost of your purchase. If you have more funds in your Gift Certificate Account than the total cost of your purchase the balance will be left in your Gift Certificate Account for the future.
Redeeming Gift Certificates !
If you receive a Gift Certificate by email it will contain details of who sent you the Gift Certificate, along with possibly a short message from them. The email will also contain the Gift Certificate Redemption Code. It is probably a good idea to print out this email for future reference. You can now redeem the Gift Certificate in two ways:
1. By clicking on the link contained within the email for this express purpose. This will take you to the store’s Redeem Gift Certificate page. You will then be requested to create an account, before the Gift Certificate is validated and placed in your Gift Certificate Account ready for you to spend it on whatever you want.
2. During the checkout process, on the same page that you select a payment method there will be a box to enter a Redemption Code. Enter the Redemption Code here, and click the Redeem button. The code will be validated and the amount added to your Gift Certificate Account. You can then use the amount to purchase any item from our store
How to Send Gift Certificates?
To send a Gift Certificate you need to go to our Send Gift Certificate Page. You can find the link to this page in the Shopping Cart Box in the right hand column of each page. When you send a Gift Certificate, you need to specify the following. The name of the person you are sending the Gift Certificate to. The email address of the person you are sending the Gift Certificate to. The amount you want to send. (Note you don’t have to send the full amount that is in your Gift Certificate Account.) A short message which will appear in the email. Please ensure that you have entered all of the information correctly, although you will be given the opportunity to change this as much as you want before the email is actually sent.
